My name is Mario Williams. I was born in Tulsa,Ok where I my fascination began with comics at an early age. It all began when I picked up my first issue of Cyber Force #1 by the magnificent Marc Silvestri. His pages were extraordinary and filled with action and indepth storytelling. I couldn't keep my eyes off the page, and at that moment I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
As a self taught artist, I quickly became emersed in my own work, practicing night and day studying works of professionals, reading lots of informational books, and watching tutorial videos trying to perfect my craft. From then on, my art and knowledge of the medium began to show promise, and my talents became stronger. I knew it was now time to branch out exploring new avenues, researching social medias and art websites like deviant art and pencil jack.
For the past couple of years, I have been working in the indie circuit as a freelancer where I met Aaron Ballinger an indie comics editor of Equinox Comics based out of Tulsa, Ok.
Aaron Ballinger gave me a chance and hired me on as a comic book penciller for Equinox Comics. I have worked on such titles as the Tribe and Hunter for Equinox. As my journey continues, I continue to hone my craft and reach for my goal of becoming a professional artist.
